The activities take place over three days.
You will take part in a Pottery Lesson in Horezu. Our instructor will teach you to make bowls, cups or jugs.
The next day you can visit the Polovragi Cave or the Vatra Dacica sculpture camp. At lunch you arrive in Targu Jiu, where you will stop at a retro restaurant before visiting Brancusi's famous works (Porta Sarutului, Masa Tacerii, Alley of Chairs or Coloana Infinitului).
On the way back from Targu Jiu, you can optionally visit the Folk Architecture Museum in Bumbesti Jiu.
On the last day, we invite you to a unique experience: relaxing with hammocks in the sky. You will be able to spend 90 minutes in hammocks suspended at an altitude of 200 meters.
If you still feel fit, on the way down you can visit one of the most popular caves in the country: Muierii Cave.
The full schedule of this adventure:
Day 1 Friday
Head to Horezu where you will have a Pottery Lesson: bowls, cups, jugs, sardine pots, milk pots, everything used in the household, you can learn to make them all.
Depending on your dexterity, the craftsman will initiate you or help you improve for an hour. You will be told about the ornamental plates painted with traditional motifs, made at the famous pottery center in Horezu: the Horezu rooster, the peacock's tail, the fish symbol of faith, the road of life - all popular motifs.
Accommodation at Casuta din Povesti in Polovragi.
Day 2 Saturday
For the morning, we suggest visiting the Polovragi Cave, or the Vatra Dacica sculpture camp.
Spend the middle of the day at Targu Jiu with a meal included at a restaurant with a retro theme.
You can choose between duck breast with mascarpone mashed potatoes and raspberry sauce, duck leg on oven-baked cabbage, beef stew with vegetables and horseradish or a healthy 600 gram serving of beans.
After ordering the menu, take a walk in the nearby park where you can admire Brancusi's works: Porta Sarutului, Masa Tacerii and Alea Scaunelor.
After the meal, visit the column of infinity. When the communists asked the "decadent"-for them-Brancusi what the monument represented, he replied that he put it there to support the sky...and they left him alone.
On the way back you can detour to Bumbesti Jiu where a Museum of Popular Architecture awaits you
Day 3 Sunday
Today you will relax with hammocks in the sky. That is if you don't consume more adrenaline.
You can go up to the hammocks on a railway with an instructor or you can choose an easier access route. The ascent takes an hour, you will rest in the hammocks for 90 minutes and it takes a good half an hour to go down.
The hammocks are suspended 200 meters above the ground.
