This is a 3 day short break including a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sighisoara Medieval Citadel, Vlad the Impaler’s birthplace, Transylvania’s iconic image, Bran Castle and one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe, The Medieval Saxon city of Brasov.
The itinerary is complimented by an excellent selection of medieval 3* hotels.

Day by day itinerary
DAY 1, October 28, Bucharest – Sighisoara (290 km, 4h 27m driving)
10:00 AM: Welcome to Transylvania! Our English speaking guide collects you from Moxa Boutique Hotel. Next stop is Sighisoara Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Founded by Saxons during the 12th century, Sighisoara still stands as one of Europe’s most beautiful inhabited fortified citadels. Sighisoara is also the place where Vlad the Impaler, also known as Dracula was borne.
08:00 PM : Put on your costume and get into the mood, this is the reason for your travel to Transylvania. Prepare for the Halloween Party. You will enjoy a delicious traditional Romanian festive dinner washed down with fiery spirits, excellent Romanian wine and accompanied by a special program.
If you survive you’ll find refugee in a 3* hotel located in the very heart of the medieval citadel.
DAY 2, October 29, Sighisoara - Sibiu - Brasov (237 km, 4h driving)
Enjoy medieval charm at its best, visit Sighisoara's main tourist attractions: The Clock Tower, standing 60 meters tall on top of the citadel's hill, it hosts a museum and offers a great view over the citadel.
Morning drive to Sibiu. The fortified town of Sibiu has been the centre of Romania's German minority since medieval times and it is one of Romania's most beautiful cities. The city contains the largest concentrations of famous sites in Romania.
Travel next to the Medieval Saxon city of Brasov, one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe, home to the impressive Black Church, the largest Gothic edifice in South Eastern Europe.
DAY 3, October 30, Brasov – Bran - Bucharest (171 km, 2h 55 min driving)
11:00 AM Explore Transylvania's symbol, Bran Castle. It owes its fame both to its unique charm and to the myth Bram Stoker created around Dracula. Transfer to Bucharest Airport / your booked hotel.

In Romania the weather in October-November is very unpredictable, with daytime temperatures between 15-20 grades Celsius, and night time temperatures between 5-10 grades Celsius; but it is very much possible that you will see some snowfall especially in the mountain section. However the weather is very changeable, so you should expect big temperature changing.
